What...when did that happen???

Abigayle Kamie Beaulieu born Jan 20th, 2003...

I can't believe it's my baby girls 7th birthday today. Where did the last 7 years go? I don't know... :(

When I was younger I would always here others say enjoy them while they are young because before you know it, they will be graduating and moving out. I know she is not ready to graduate and move out quite yet but still, 7 years have passed by so quickly. This is my BABY!

I still remember as if it was yesterday when I gave birth to her. She gave me such a hard time throughout my entire pregnancy. I was sick from the day I got pregnant to the day I gave birth. And when I mean sick, I mean litterly sick. All I could drink was water and eat very little. I would go to the hospital to be put on IV because I would be dehydrated. I was taken off work on Oct 5th, 2002 and basically bed ridden till her birth.

And then I will never forget the day my water broke. I thought within hours she would have been born. Everyone told me for your second child, it doesn't take as long compared to the first. Boy did they lie...LOL. My water broke at 10am on a Sunday morning but she was only born about 2:30 the next morning. The only reason she was born bright and early the next day was because they had to go and get her by C-Section. Her heart beat started out at around 168 to 170 but by 1:00 am her heart rate was dropping and dropping quickly. By the time they were wheeling me to the OR her heart rate was down to 80. I was panicking for I was so scared to loose her. The worst was going through my head...all I could think was I could not loose my baby.

We did not know her sex, so when she was born and they said it was another girl, I started crying. And I was even more happier when they told me she was healthy and fine. All they could think was she was pinching the umbilical cord. Let's just say she was a big baby for mommy to carry. She weighed in at 7 lbs 14 oz and was 20 inches long. I know for most, that is a small baby BUT for mommy who is not very big and has hardly any room for a baby, that was a big baby!

When I was pregnant with her, she was always very active and constantly kicking me all over. And today she still is a very active child. I don't know what I would do without her. She is the light in my life :) Mind you there are days she could send me directly to a mental ward...LOL, but over all she is a very good girl. She talks from the time she gets up in the morning till the time she goes to bed. And even most nights, she talks in her sleep. Uhhmmm....who does she get that from??? Maybe mommy...LOL. I call her my energizer bunny, who keeps going and going and going...

She is full of questions! Always asking but why? How come? What is that? I was told that is a sign of intelligence and if so she should be very intelligent...LOL.

Tonight we will be having supper with my parents who are known as Grammie and Grampie, my grandmother who is 97 and is known as Memere Cassista (She is french) and my In-Laws who are known as Memere and Pepere (they are also french). It will be a nice FAMILY supper and trust me, she is very excited that everyone will be here to CELEBRATE!

I thought I would share with you some pictures of her over the years. Boy has she changed ALOT!

This was just days after we came home from the hospital. She is in the bassinet that I used when I was a baby. Something that I want to pass down to my girls :) My MIL had made all the PJ's (to be honest they were all Tabitha's PJ's who was born 5 1/2 years before).
This was her first professional shot at 6 weeks old...
Here she is doing her cheese :))) She was toothless for a very long time...she was 8 months old.
Here she was only 1 year & 3 months. I love this picture so much! She had the most beautiful curls and only two teeth :) I have no idea what happened to all those curls??? Wished she still had them :(
This was a Christmas Shot that I had done just a month before her second birthday. As you can see some teeth are slowly coming in :)
Here she was Sept 2007, not quite 4 years old. She was the flower girl in my sister in-laws wedding. This dress was also made by MIL. She is a awesome seamstress!!! She still had some curls left but not like a year before.
This picture was taken last year. This is the Abby we all know :) Full of life, always a smile on her face...just a simple happy girl :)
And lastly a picture of her just before her Christmas School Play, Dec 18th, 2009...
She will be celebrating her birthday with all her friends from her class this coming Saturday. All I have been doing is thinking and thinking on what to do for her birthday. They will be 12 little girls. And sadly we don't have very much here in town for kids to do and being that it's during the Winter months, what do you do? So once again, Monday I asked her what she wanted to do. It shows how content she is because she said all she wanted was to dance, watch movies, dance some more, eat cake and have fun with her friends. So it looks like she wants Hannah Montana music, so I will make them a dancing area and then have the rec room all set up for a movie with popcorn and then we will eat cake and open gifts. Can't get any more simpler then that...

So a very 'Happy Birthday Abby, my baby girl.'

Until next time my friends...
