We have been having such nice weather and looking out those dirty winter windows were driving me in sane. I dug out my rags and sprays and outside I went. And now I can actually see outside without staring at spots.
As I promised, I have some pictures of Abby's room so far. Keep in mind, it's still a work in progress. I am STILL WAITING FOR THE CROWN MOLDING TO GO UP! The last time the contractor talked to hubby, he said two weeks. This week is the two week. I pray he will come soon so I can get Abby's room and the rest of the house back to normal. My house is so small that when any room is out of order, the whole house looks a mess. And a mess, I can not handle!
Here we are looking in to her room from the hall...as you can see it's not a bright pink but pink enough to make a little girl happy.
This was a blanket that my MIL made Abby for Christmas. All the grandchildren got one made with material that matches what the kids liked. And as you all can see, Abby is a Hannah Montana freak :)
Here is another angle...
Hubby built the corner shelving with pegs when we moved in 6 years ago. It holds a ton of things!
I had to take a picture of this cute little flower that Abby won at a Baby Shower that she went to with my MIL. It's a solar flower, so during the day the little leaves move up and down and then at night it sits still. It's so cute and the colors are perfect for her room.
Here Tab is sitting in the front with blond hair singing a few songs with the Choir that she is also part of. The girls were so good.
And of course since we had the camera out taking pics of Tab, Abby wanted her picture taken. Right now she looks funny missing three teeth. It seems like all her teeth are falling up one after another.
On Friday MIL received the call that her surgery has been rescheduled for the 7th of April. Her birthday is on the 3rd so we are planning a trip to the Sugar Camp and then a big family supper because after that she will be out of order for lord knows how long. We are still praying that the cancer has not spread but we will only know when they do the surgery. She was explaining to me that she will have a incision from the cavity of her chest all the way to her bikini line. The reason for that is because they will be taking a piece of each organ inside to test and make sure the cancer did not spread. So it will be a intense surgery and of course time will be required for her to heal.
And then hubby had a interview last Tuesday and he doesn't think it went all that good. He was very nervous and didn't answer some of the questions the way he should have. But it's like he said, the last time he went through a interview he was 15 years old. So it's been quite a few years. Poor guy! So we still have our fingers and toes crossed for something to come up. As soon as May 1st comes, he no longer has a job :(
Of course there is so much more but I will not get into all of it because you'll be reading into the next week...LOL. The past couple of weeks, my head has been spinning, I don't know if I am coming or going. So to keep this brain of mine busy and not thinking, I have been working on my Genealogy. I have been finding a slew of information, it's just like Christmas :) I have also been in contact with a few distant cousins and am enjoying hearing their stories how their families lived and when they moved from Quebec to the States. History...ahhhh that I love!
Well I must run for now so I can check in on some blogs before I hit the hay. I am up and at it tomorrow, first thing off to the hairdresser. I am in need of a trim.
So until next time...enjoy all this nice weather for it's officially Spring :) I am hoping to start a cross stitch, so hopefully when I come back I will have something to show.

I have and love one of those blankets and sleep with it every night in the winter of course it's a Steeler one and not so prim but on a winter night it's my best friend.LOL
Spring for me always brings annual check ups and tests, April 1st is a colonostemy test which I'm very nervous about, I've never had one. Then a gyn pap test hopefully the tests will be all great.
Your poor MIL...I'll be keeping her in my prayers:)

I love Abby's room and I'm not even a pink lover! How sweet that she tells you how much she loves it. That's all that matters, right?
Still praying for your family!
Hi Sandy,
Your daughters room is so sweet! I love the peg rail and her bed. I believe kids should have a say about their room within reason and hers is lovely.
I hope your MIL does well with her surgery and hubby finds a job soon. And I hope you feel better ASAP!
hugs, Linda
