Whatcha Working on Thursday...

Good Evening Ladies, how has everyone been?

I know the weather hasn't been all that nice for the most part. This sure has been one crazy year for temperatures. One minute we get some nice warm sunny weather, then the next it's so darn cold. Some places are getting way too much rain and others, none at all. And then we even have some places that are still getting snow. What's up with that???

I wanted to do a post yesterday and next thing I knew, the day got away from me.
So it's better to be late then never :)

I thought I would share with you some things that I have been working on. I am getting ready to do a Prim/Craft Sale ~ Yard Sale next weekend, so I have been busy purging and crafting :) It's so hard to believe what one can collect. When I say I have been purging, I kid you not I truly have been. I was always told that if you haven't used it in the past year then you no longer need it. Just my bedroom alone, I took out 5 garbage bags full. Imagine that??? I then once again went through Abby's clothes and filled two very large garbage bags full. This child just keeps on growing. She is only 7 and is already to my shoulders. I fear to see how tall she will end up. Now I know I am not tall but really, she is only 7.

Sorry, I veered off :) Well, I am almost all done purging and going through all the rooms. I left the last two worst rooms, the rec room and storage under the basement stairs. I dread thinking I really need to attack them tomorrow. I can do it...I can do it...LOL.

So of course, I need to change and do something different. I am one who can not do the same thing all day long. Back a couple months ago, Char from The Pickled Pepper Patch decided to do a Summer Swap. I decided to jump in to change my mind from what was going on around me and because of doing this, it got me back into crafting :) Now my brain is on overload because there are so many things I want to do. I can't share with you what I made because it wouldn't be fair for my swap partner since I know she hasn't received her package yet. But I will share other things that I decided to make and will be putting in my Prim/Craft Sale.

I made four sets of these cute Summer like flowers...
...and one set of these ones.
I found this awhile back on someones blog but for the life of me, I do not remember who's. But she did give detailed instructions on how to make them so I changed some things around and slapped together five of them. The longest part was making the can look rusted. The rest was a piece of cake and so fun to make :)

I then ordered 100 empty bottles and labels so I can make up some new room sprays. I have all the stickers put on, now their ready to be filled with some really yummy smells...
Awhile back, Micheal's was having a sale on these wooden frames, a $1.50 each. Can't get any better then that. So I must of purchased around 30 of them...hehe. But yesterday I painted 10 of them, now they are ready to be sanded and then stained. I am going to make some prim sayings and a couple stitchery's for yet again, my Sale :)
I already have a very large pile of different material cut up to fit this size of frame. That will save me some time...

I also purchased these paper mache boxes and decided to cover them with material. Here is the three colors I will be using.
...and here is one set completed...
I did make a few other things which I forgot to take pictures of. They are in boxes waiting to be placed out for the Sale next weekend.

As I mentioned, since I was purging I also was tweaking in between that. Anything that was more on the Country Look, I have decided to get rid of because it's not the style I am going for anymore. Alot of it was already packed away but I just never got rid of it and have finally decided I can do it. I so DO NOT WANT TO BE A HOARDER! Have any of you seen that show??? That is just awful! So with the show stamped into my brain, it has helped me decide to finally get rid of these things. I know it will all go to a new home and I am sure will make some really happy people since alot of my stuff still looks new.

Here I am rambling again...what's so sad is that I am like this when I am actually having a real converstation...LOL...so sorry. Back to the tweaking, I have changed a couple shelving's around. I am still not sure yet and knowing me, I will change them again. So for now, this is how they look...
There is still something missing on top of my patio doors. The space is not very high, so I am limited to what I can put there.

I also wanted to update you on the other things that have been going on...

My MIL is doing REALLY, REALLY good! She said she almost feels normal. There still are times when she moves or picks up something and notices maybe she shouldn't of done that but over all feels great :))))) She does need to go for radiation but only 4 treatments. The 4 treatments will be done over a three week period. Of course the Dr will be seeing her every 3 months for the next two years and then after that every six months. But we all feel a big sigh of relief.

As for hubby, well he is truly happy :) He started his new job just this past Monday. Every night when he gets home, he is burnt out but he told me that he truly LOVES his job. He's so tired from all the training. He has ALOT to learn and alot of work ahead of him but he will do good :) That makes me feel so good knowing that he just didn't settle for the job because at the time there was nothing else.

As for my medication, it's not looking good but I have a Rep who is fighting for me so I can continue my Remicade. All I can do for now is pray and keep my fingers crossed.

Well, I must run for now but will be back.

Until next time...

Hi, I think a lovely primitive garland across the top of the doors would look great...and you wouldnt need to add anything else. Have fun with your crafting! Jo xx

So good to hear from you Sandy. Sounds like you have been one busy lady. Those flowes are just wonderful. You did a really good job on them. I hope you post a picture of your frames once you have them finished.

Glad your hubby likes his job even though he is tired. He will get used to it eventually. Great news on your MIL. Definitely an answer to prayers! I will pray that your rep comes thru for you on your medicine. God can make it happen just as you need it to.
I have purged stuff so many times you would think my house would be junk and clutter free. Sometimes I think my stuff grows and multiplies when I'm not looking. All we can do is keep at it and never give up.
Enjoy your day Sandy.
Hugs,
AMY

I love the flowers you made--they are darling. My new addiction is to make those boxes with fabric. They work up quickly and are so cute. Hope you have a nice weekend. Julie

Well Sandy I think the best things are that your MIL is doing great and that your husband is 'happy' and that makes you happy.

I'd say you bought a few frames....LOL
I did the same thing with the 'document' frames a couple weeks ago at the dollar store...they must have thought I was giving out diplomas or something...lol

Glad you are keeping busy and that all is well....

Have a super weekend.
