Projects...Jobs...Swapping...Projects...Visiting...

How was every one's weekend? I hope it was wonderful and you all had beautiful weather. As for us up North, it was perfect :) Lot's of sun and only showers at night when we were in bed. Can ask for better then that...

So much has been going on since my last post...where do I start???

I had my Garage Sale...never had time to take pictures. It was crazy busy...YEAH!!! I got rid of almost everything :))) I made really good money! Let's just say that I was suppose to be opened till Sunday and had to close mid afternoon Saturday. I am glad though it is done because I was burnt out.

I did well with my Crafts ~ Primitive things. Alot of people came just for that :) I forgot to get pictures of my Primitive items but I do have a pic of my room sprays...I made 100 bottles and in the box there probably are 80 left. But that is OK because I am taking them somewhere else and I know within a month they all will be sold. The box is full of different scents...smells so YUMMY!
It was so funny, I told others that if they had anything to sell just to bring it on over to my Garage Sale and I will try to sell for them. Well my In-Laws showed up with a ton of things for Sale and I sold everything except for a couple of things. They sure were happy, but it was funny when I saw what they were selling I just had to have these...
I wish the bowl was pewter but it still looks nice. The little trinket box is metal on the outside and wood inside. It was only $2 and I thought it would look cute on a small stand or something. The two oval things are hand carved wooden picture frames that my FIL made about 20 years ago. They were one of the things that I saw and snatched up. They would look cute with a old photo or stitchery. I WILL put them to use that is for sure...

I also participated in a 'SUMMER SWAP' hosted by Char over at The Pickled Pepper Patch. I received my parcel last week when I was having my Garage Sale. My partner was Nerina Field over at NicNacManiac. I received quite a bit of things and want to Thank Nerina from the bottom of my heart for everything she sent. I was so darn excited to open my box, I forgot to take pictures. I had to wait until I closed my Garage Sale to open the box, so do ya blame a girl for forgetting her camera...LOL. She had everything wrapped up in material. It was all so cute :) Look at all the goodies she sent...
I then found out that my favorite Prim ~ Colonial Store is closing :((( I was so shocked but completely understand the Owners reasons. Since I found out 5 days later, I knew I had to make a trip to see what was left. I bought a few things, she was selling everything without tax and a additional 15% off. So I came home with the candle chandelier with the candles (this will go in my Rec Room after it's painted and that will be soon), little doll with flax tucked in a bag, the redware vase and that really cute flower stitchery. Of course there were a couple of other things I really wanted but I have us on a budget and could not get them this week. She was so kind that she set the other items a side for me. Can't wait to go and get the rest. I'll be sure to show you all...
As for us Canadians, last Monday was a Holiday. Hubby got up in the morning with all intentions to get some work done around the house, outside. By 11 am, it was so HOT out, hubby had to call it quits. So inside he came and that leads to the biggest project yet. It's still a project in the making. Here's a sneak peak...

Where hubby now works, they sell this product called SAMAN, click here to see. It has the stain, varnish and seal all in one. There is no sanding, sanding, and more sanding required. You just apply the amount of coats you want. The more coats, the darker you get. I am really impressed by it :) It looks like I have a brand new kitchen. It's not exactly what I wanted, I really wanted to paint the cupboards either a red or green but because they are hardwood I needed to consider the re-sale value of our house so that is why I decided to go ahead with this product. Hopefully by mid week the rest of the doors will be done, I will come back later this week with the finished job.

Just this past Saturday, we had a family supper out at my parents. It was lots of fun! Four out of Seven living siblings came along with their spouses for a pot luck supper. The food and company was really good. I could have done without the mosquito's...LOL. Oh well...in a couple of days the fly bites will be gone. Here is a really nice pic of my Aunts and my 98 year old Grandmother. They had Grammy laughing so hard, at some points she almost peed herself. Doesn't she look good for age???
To my surprise, Grammy goes fishing in a bag and hand's me over a little package. When I looked to see what it was, she had made me 6 dishcloths that she knitted herself. How many 98 year old's do you know that still knit and crochet??? That meant the world to me :)
...here we are now a Sunday night. Hubby and I really didn't do much today other then relaxing and getting some groceries. I have been so tired these past few days, not fully recovered from the Garage Sale. We then went and had supper with the In-Laws since my MIL will be gone until following Tues for her first few radiation treatments. I hope she does OK, we will be anxious to see her next week.

Well...I must run for now and try to get some ZZZ's. I did not sleep at all last night...it will be a better night tonight. So until next time...

So glad your garage sale went well. It makes all the hard work worthwhile. I am going to have one in August during the world's longest garage sale along US 127. We live about a quarter mile off the road and did well last time we had one. Love your prim shop goodies. Have a wonderful day.

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!

What a beautiful family photo and you bet granny looks quite young!
What a sweet gift she gave you - those kind of dishcloths work so great - my MIL used to give me them at Christmas.
