Here at the Beaulieu's Homestead, we have been very busy. I don't think I have even seen this month with everything going on.
To start off with...painting...which I find to be quite the hassle in our home. You see, it's quite small here, not giving us much room to move furniture around to get to all the corners to paint.
Since hubby started his new job, it hasn't given him much time at all to get any painting done.
He started the basement over a month ago and that is where it stayed. So come last Saturday, I got frustrated and decided to hire someone to get the job done. I really need to get my house back in order. I can not handle disruption nor a mess at all. The Dr did tell me to work on this, but it's very hard...
I can officially say 'YEAH' after a week of him being here, he is now gone. There are a couple things left to do, but between Mike and I, we will get it done ourselves. Can't afford to keep him at the house forever...
Our rec room has been emptied for new carpet to be laid. So no pictures yet ladies, but trust me, they are coming :)
In the meantime I will share with you my half bath. I picked everything out and had it all envisioned. Well let me tell you...I really love the colors that I chose. I might have to say that this just may be my favorite room of the house now...LOL...
The plumber was in and changed the piping around for the washer and dryer. I spoke of this in my past post. We now almost...I say almost have this room complete. I need to kick hubby in high gear. But since it's almost completed, I will share it with all of you :) Here is looking in from the hall...I made the curtains myself and am very pleased with how they turned out. I painted the counter top with paint from the Caromal Colours. After reading all the positive notes from everyone else, I ordered a bottle of Peppercorn (black) back in July and only got around to using it now, in this new renovated half bath. It is so easy to work with and is very durable. I give this product and 2 thumbs up! Alot cheaper then trying to replace this very small counter top. The black in the counter top pulls out the black from the curtains and handles.
Here is one view...gives you an idea...I love it!
And of course the railing has to be done to match...
I have been keeping hubby busy...he got off easy you know without having to paint the house ;)
Instead, he has all these little jobs left to do. I am crossing my fingers that it will be all done for next weekend. Do you think it will be??? I guess I will only know then...
And with all of this going on, I am still managing to get some things done for the Craft Show in Nov. I worked on these yesterday...made eight of them...
I still have this left over...
Well my friends...I have plenty more to show you but I will leave that for another day.
I hope everyone is under shelter with all this rain that we have been getting. At least the warm air is still here to enjoy because we all know, pretty soon all that white stuff will be falling on the ground.
So until next time my friends, have fun and stay out of trouble ;)

Sandy, I'm so glad you got a chance to use the CC paint and that it got a big two thumbs up! Your counter looks great - have any close ups? I especially like the crown painted a color - I suggest that often for clients, and then we glaze it (or stain) and it looks awesome. I'm sure yours will pop when the paper gets installed.
Have a great day - patty
I love the crown molding! Wonderful! Everything is coming along so great, can't wait to see it finished! Oh, love your washer and dryer, too. :)
You are really making progress Sandy. I can't wait to see more pictures. Love your corn bags. Aren't they perfect for your aches and pains.
Enjoy your weekend.
Hugs, ~AMY~
Beautiful. Can't wait to see more pictures.
Your bath/laundry room looks wonderful.
Oh to have those jobs complete - doesn't it feel good?
Ours are needing to START...not finish...lol

Looking good! That Caromal Colours stuff looks pretty amazing! I've heard so many rave reviews about it.
Your stair well is going to be beautiful when it is completed! I would love to do that with mine and add a neat stencil, but ours has a carpet runner on it and I'm okay with it so I don't want to tear it off just yet. I love that paint color too!
Hey Sandy just checked in to see how your doing! Are you ok? I wanted to let you know I posted some of my prim crafts left over from my craft show I did. One of the things I did I got the ideal from you and forgot to give you credit! Sorry! But I did change them alittle. You'll see what I'm talking about. And thank you. How did you do on your craft sale? Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. XO Fran.
Hello Sandy... Came across your blog quite by accident and realized that you are also in New Brunswick...
Lovely blog and I like the renovations to your home...
Prim Blessings...
