...we got our first snowstorm of the Season! Around lunch time, a light snowfall had started but let me tell you, it might have been a light snowfall but it's messy out there now!
Abby's Gymnastics wasn't cancelled tonight so I took her out, my nerves are now shot...
LOL. I HATE driving in bad weather and the section of town where we live is ALL hills. I was so scared that the people behind me wouldn't be able to break and would end up running into me. Thankfully we made it back home safe and sound. This is the part of Winter that I hate most!
Just a few minutes ago, I snapped pics of our back deck. Look at hubby's Green Eggs...they are officially in the shape of a egg now...the mini is almost
buried!

Look at the railing of the deck. We went from having nothing to
alot! We needed this a month ago for Christmas ;)

Yesterday we celebrated a birthday for a very special little girl...my little
Abigayle :) She is officially 8 years old. I can't believe how she is growing up so quickly. My baby girl is no longer a baby. But in my eyes, she will always be my baby :)
We had supper at the in-laws yesterday, at Abby's request it was homemade spaghetti sauce and meatballs. It was so good! She also ended up with three birthday cakes...yep, I said three birthday cakes! Couldn't decide which one to eat, so we took out all three...who
says you can't have a sliver of each??? ;)
Abby had the bright idea that she wanted candles on all three...but by the time she got to the third cake she started having problems blowing out all the candles. Just the fact that she blew out candles on all three, it made her day. She is such a simple little girl and I love her to the moon and back. Here a few pics of her...

Check out her smile on the last cake...PRICELESS! And to let you all know, my favorite was the last cake. It wasn't sweet at all, I don't like things that are too sweet so this one was perfect!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY BABY GIRL! Onto tomorrow, a pool party with her classmates :)
I am still tweaking and
de-cluttering, filling boxes up and messes everywhere but did find time to decorate our
Valentine's Tree. I left my cinnamon dough ornaments in it and then added all my hearts that I had. I realized that I don't have very many Valentine's decor, guess I will have to get a few things made :)

...you can see the shadow prints that I purchased from
Misi over
'1890' Gable House. I LOVE her work! I could purchase everything she makes but need to control myself...
LOL.

I then had this really awesome old wooden ironing board that I purchased this past Summer stored away and as I mentioned since I am
de-cluttering and going through all my things, I am going to keep this beauty but it needs some tender loving care...

...around the whole thing, it's full of very rusted nails that I have since removed...

For the time being, it's sitting in behind the tree till Spring. Then I can take it outside for a real good cleaning! I am happy to say it's no longer stored ;)

The only other decor I have is of the
treenware bowl that is sitting in my dry sink filled with stuffed primitive hearts.

I must run for now, I need to check off my list for the kiddies party tomorrow :) Abby is very excited to go swimming. We then have a outing in the evening with our friends for hubby's b-day.
Until next time...have yourself a wonderful weekend!

Love all of your hearts. The snow is pretty but I don't want any. Ready for Spring here in VA. The ironing board I love!

Did you daughter have a great time during her swimming party?!! How fun to enjoy in the middle of winter!
I love all your valentine treats scattered through your house. I really like the scoop and hearts. :)
I now remember you having a daughter with a birthday around the same time as mine. My daughter's birthday is Jan. 22. Sounds like lil Miss Abby had a wonderful time!
I love those shadow prints too, they look so very old! That's a very nice ironing board, it's gonna look great no matter where you put it or what you do with it!
Have a grand week Sandy!
