Did you hear me scream???

OMG...Ahhhhhhh....LOL...

Be prepared...lots of pics to share ;)

I recently participated in a swap that our wonderful Char was hosting. My husband went over across on Sunday to pick up my package. I haven't been feeling well, lately I have been having so much pain. So bad that the pain is actually making me sick to my stomach. I haven't been this bad for a real long time! Because of this, I haven't gone out much these past few days. But let me tell you, when I opened my package, there was alot of screaming going on in this house :)))

My swap partner was Kerri from The Calico Rabbit. If you haven't checked out her blog, you should. She has some wonderful tutorials and is a really sweet person :) We had to make and give our partner 5 of our favorite things. Where do I start...I LOVE everything she sent me and can't choose just one to like the most. She is a very talented lady, makes her own patterns and all.

Look at all the goodies :))))) Everything other then the candle was all made by her!

I LOVE this wood paddle! I don't have anything in blue, but now I am thinking I just may need a few things...LOL. It's a beautiful color!
I quickly found a home for it. Added it to my collection...looking good :)

The next item is this cute pumpkin! Her favorite season is Fall. I can't wait to display it now. But don't worry girls, I want Summer first...LOL. He's just too cute!

Next is this cute little pin cushion! A pattern from Primitive Betty and she did such a wonderful job on it. It's filled with crushed walnut shells. I would have never thought of that. It's fun when we swap like this, you get to learn some new tricks.

I am not putting this away when I am finished with my Valentine's decorations. It's beautiful! So it found a home here...

This was the first gift that I opened and when all the screaming began...LOL. She made the pattern herself! It's beautiful!!! I only wish that I could stitch like this. I am hoping someday, as they say practice makes perfect...LOL. I love the colors she used...I could go on and on...LOL

So for now, it's home is here. But I know myself all so well, it will be changing around until I find that right spot ;) Especially if I can get my new home!

The last item is this beautiful bonnet. How did she know I was collecting them? I was so excited when I opened!

It's been added to the collection...fits perfectly!

...a full display of the penny rug and bonnet...

Oh...and the candle smells awesome! It's a candle by Paula Deen, scent Mystery Pecan Pie. YUMMY!

We also finally got the bedroom painted. I wanted to paint the trim, moulding and doors and darker color but will wait since we are try to sell. We figured that we would leave it white for the time being and if I don't sell then we will change the color.

The room seems so much brighter, I really like the color I chose. I really love the picture over my bed, now I need my four poster bed...hehe. I haven't got my curtains hung back up nor did we hang everything on the walls because you JUST in case. I would hate to add extra holes for the new owners :) My new pillow that made is on the bed but because we have a King Size, I am in need of another pillow :)

We changed our bedroom around and realized holy wow, I could set up a living room on that side...LOL. I told hubby that if we don't sell, where I have the black dresser would be a perfect spot for a reading chair and he agreed with me :) As you can see, the mirror is just sitting on my dresser and my plate rack.
This is hubby's side of the room. Imagine the door and casings in a darker color. It would be so nice. I also want to get a new quilt for the bed in black (coverlet) so the current bedding won't be staying. It's serving the purpose until I can decide which one I want. It's pricey so I want to make sure I make the correct decision.

The other day I was out and found this cutest little doll. Exactly what I have been looking for to put in my mini chair. I had to show you...

You don't see the pillow all that well, but it's a pattern offered by Primitive Betty. I made one for my swap with Kerri and loved it so much that I had to make one for myself. It looks cute with the doll :)

I also thought that I would give you a sneak peek of some Spring decor that I have started. I purchased these fake leaves the other day and think they look good in this little crock on the stove.
I am very anxious for the snow to melt and the warmer weather to begin. This afternoon was so nice out, I opened my patio doors. The girls thought I was crazy but you know the cool air felt good and I love the smell of a fresh outdoors.

Before I run off and read a few blogs before heading to bed, I wanted to let you all know that if you go to my Facebook Badge 'For the Love of Prims', I have things for sale. Some prim, antique and colonial items. I found a awesome site that sells some really nice colonial items. I made another order and am very anxious to get it. So if any of you are interested, drop me a line. I would be so happy to hear from you.

I also want to Thank each and everyone of you who stop by and visit my blog. I have been getting the chance to get to know a few of you and truly love hearing from all of you.

Until next time...

I'm having fun catching up on your blog. Your pictures are always so inspiring. Where did you get the cover for your stove? I'm in Alberta and have had my eye peeled for a long time and am thinking I might need to get my Dad to build one! :)
