At last, they are completed...

...well at least the cupboards that were being stained in the dark cocoa color. I LOVE them!
It now looks like I have a brand new kitchen :) I am still missing the handles. I had to order them so now I need to wait for them to come in. As promised, I have pictures to share...

This is what the kitchen looked like when we purchased our home six years ago...

...and here is what it looks like today :)

Before...
After...
Before...
After...
This is the last section to be done...

I want the doors on our bar section to look the same as the photo above and I also want this section to be finished in the same finishing.
Since I had someone else come in and do my island section, I really want the bar area to match. Hubby and I decided to have the same man come in to finish this area so it will match perfectly. Hopefully within the month it will be done. I am really excited :))))

The next project we started will be a very long one! But I really like how it is turning out so far...
...the floor looks so much cleaner and brighter! The tiles were laid six years ago so you can imagine that the grout gets dirty. I am a bit of a clean freak and have tried everything to bring the grout back to it's original color but nothing worked. Then hubby calls me from work to tell me they sell these pens made by the same company for the stain, SAMAN. The pens are called 'Grout Stain Marker' and boy does it ever work.

Here is a before picture...
What a difference! But like I said, it will be a BIG project. So a little each day, it will be completed and give the flooring a whole new look.

Awhile back Char from the Pickled Pepper Patch posted on her blog, shadow pictures for sale. When I saw that she was selling them, I left her a message right away. I have been wanting some of these pictures for quite sometime now but can't find them around here. Well to be honest with everything that has been going on, I completely forgot all about them. I had made a order from Winter Willow Primitives so when hubby went to Maine to pick up my parcel he also brought home my shadow pictures :) I love them! Here they are...
Now I need to find where I want to put them. I won't be hanging them up quite yet because we really need to paint my hall walls. The last time they were painted was six years ago, when we moved in. And having kids and every day life, they are in desperate need of paint. I actually have plans for my hall, I am thinking some wood trim and even wallpaper. You will have to wait and see what I will come up with. Hubby is scared...LOL...he knows my brain is always working but I told him, I promise it will look really nice when it's done :)

And here is what I ordered from Winter Willow Primitives...I love the geranium flowers! They looks so real. I also ordered the tobacco cloth curtains that will be going into my bedroom. I have decided if I buy piece by piece I will then be able to do my bedroom. It's alot easier on the budget buying piece by piece then all at once.
I also ordered this candle holder. It fits perfect where I put it...
I was really hoping to get outside and work in my flower gardens but that hasn't happened. We have been getting nothing but rain ALL week. I know we desperately needed it but enough is enough. You know it could rain at night when we are sleeping then it would be much easier to get some work done outside during the day. But I guess we can't help mother nature. It's just that I am anxious to get my hard looking summer like. Oh well...I guess that means I have to get work done inside...LOL.

I must run for now...but I thought I would leave you with a cute picture of my baby girls :) They are really becoming friends :))))
Until next time...

Oh my LOVE the "new" kitchen!!!! Looks fabulous!!!!

I really like the tobacco cloth too. Just make sure you buy all at the same time for each room because otherwise you might have different dye lots.
