Whatcha Working on Wednesday

Hello to all my fellow blogger's :)
How is everyone handling this wicked heat wave? I think it has hit everyone from all over.

I decided last minute, last Tuesday night to go away on vacation with my younger sister. So the girls and I jumped into her car and headed to Ontario last Wed morning. Hubby is not able to get any Summer Vacation time due to his new job. I thought how boring for the girls to stay home for their Summer Vacation. So in the car we went for a 15 1/2 drive to visit with my brother and his children and my other sister and her children.

We will only be arriving back home on July 25th. That gives us 2 1/2 weeks of time to do alot of things. We did awesome time for driving but let me tell you it was brutal with the heat. My sister doesn't have air conditioning in her car so we drove the whole way with our windows down. Even though we had wind coming in the car, it was HOT wind! We stopped often for cold water. We all were very anxious to hit our destination :)

So sadly we had to leave hubby and my two fur babies behind :( I miss all three dearly...I can't wait to see them all! I talked to hubby often and he is missing us like crazy also. My poor Daisy girl (poodle) is hunting for me high and low. Poor thing, she is stuck to my left hip when I am home so I can see why she is missing her mommy.
I did promise you all to show you what I had been working on for last Wednesday. But since I was in the car heading to Ontario that day, it was not possible. Since I have a bit of spare time at this moment, I thought I would share with you my projects that I had been working on.

Do you remember when I showed you all these three pieces that I had built??? It would have been a few posts back now...
...here they are all completed :) This is a cover for our I-Pod dock...you can see the cord on the side. I think I will have to unplug it when we are not using it. The cord is driving me crazy...LOL.
Next is my pipe box, with two clay pipes and a tobacco stick on display. But it won't be staying there. Hubby even warned me that he will end up bumping into it. Not quite sure where I will put yet but I will find that right spot :)
And lastly what I have been wanting for a very long time...a cover for my Kitchen Aid Mixer. I LOVE it and the color I chose for it also :)
I am now busy working on two stitchery's for a girl I know. She called me up asking if I could make two stitchery's with a poem and her date of marriage. She wants to give them to both sets of parents. I thought that was cute :) As soon as I am done with them I will take some pics to show you all.

I shall run for now...off to visit my grandparents that I haven't seen for over 10 years. Scary how time flies. We are suppose to be off to a fun filled park on Thurs with my Uncle who is only 4 years older then me :) I tease him all the time...LOL...he hates it when I call him Uncle. He has a daughter the same age as my little Abigayle and they have been hitting it off really great.
So we still have plenty of visiting to do and lots of other activities.
