~ 6 AlrEadY???~

...that is right...my baby girl turns 6 today.
Where has the time gone??? It seems like yesterday when I gave birth to her.
I wish I had some baby pictures to share with you but they are on the hard drive and of course I have no idea how to run it...LOL...so I will share some more recent pictures of her.
I will never forget being pregnant, I was VERY sick and bed ridden for my last trimester. From the day I got pregnant to the day I delivered her, I was sick. I had a very bland diet I tell ya. I was hospitalized a couple of times due to being so sick I ended up being dehydrated. My disease kicked in full swing by my second trimester just due to the fact I was carrying extra weight on my hips. I got to the point I could no longer walk, barely sit and had a really hard time sleeping. I was in so much pain and unfortunately I could not take any medication for it. I had many days of crying and so wanted my pregnancy to go quickly. Have you ever noticed that when someone else is pregnant, it goes by so fast but when it's yours it goes so slowly...LOL.
And of course, the time I began getting sick was during the Summer months. Hubby and Tabitha would be outside swimming and enjoying the weather so much. But as for me I lived in my bed for the most part. I remember crying so much and swore I would never get pregnant again. Don't get me wrong...I am so happy to have this little girl in my life! She's my baby girl...all the problems I had while being pregnant paid off to have this sweet little girl.

You see...I am not meant to be pregnant. I had to swear to the doctors that I would never get pregnant again. Every time I get pregnant, they would only get worst due to my illness. My illness affects your hips and spinal cord and because the baby sits in our hip area, I can not carry them. Just thinking about the pain now makes me want to cry. And the medication that I am on, there is no way at what so ever you can take them while being pregnant. And since I really wanted her to be born healthy and NOT to loose her I had to be bed ridden.

I remember sleeping at night and waking right up because in my sleep I was trying to roll over and could not, due to the pain. I would have to wake up Mike to help me roll over. IMAGINE...and I did not gain alot of weight with her just because I was so sick. So it had nothing to do with being to big...it was just my back and hips.

Her sex was a surprise to us...we had no idea what sex she was because she was a bigger baby and took ALL the room inside of me. So saying that, she had no room to stretch. Imagine I am only 5' tall so having a 8lb baby inside gives no room for playing...LOL. The night that I had her and we found out she was a girl and looked
just like her big sister...I cried so much.

My water broke around 10am on a Sunday but my labor pains just weren't coming. By supper time I went to the hospital and they kept me. Since this was my second pregnancy, I knew what to expect, I demanded for a epidurol right away and boy am I happy that I did. Me thinking I would have her sometime after supper did not happen. I was not dilating and still no labour pains. Good for me but not good for her because after supper her heart rate started dropping slowly and by 2am the following morning her heart rate had dropped down to 88. The doctors and nurses decided to rush me in for a Emergency C-Section. Tell me how do you remain calm when everyone around you are running around like chickens with their heads cut off. Do you think I did alot of crying??? Oh you guessed it! I did alot of praying! I just wanted to have a healthy baby and not to loose her. By 2:30am I gave birth to a healthy baby girl. Come to find out she was pinching the emblical cord, that is what was causing her heart beat to drop. What a turkey :)

I will never forget being pregnant with her. It still is so vivid in my memory that I swear it still feels like yesterday. I will always carry the scar on my stomach representing the birth of my little Abigayle Kamie Beaulieu.

So "Happy Birthday" my baby girl and many more...
We all love you so much!!! And she will always be my baby girl :)
Tonight we are going out for supper with our family to celebrate her big day.
So until next time my friends...have a wonderful day!

She is just absolutely beautiful!!!
I was sick like that with my dd who was 28 last July. Like you everyday of sickness was worth having her! I found out bland diet made me sicker...spicier the food the better it stayed down. I was bedriden the last trimester too.

Give a big hug and kiss on top of her head from me...these babies who were so hard on us getting here are true blessings...as you already know.

Happy Birthday to your littlest cutie! She is clearly worth everything you endured, Sandy.

Incidentally, I'm 5'1" tall and I can relate to having no room to grow a baby. I always carried WAY out front and I still can't believe that Brendan weighed over 9 lbs!

I hope you all enjoyed your celebration :)

Awwwwww~! Happy Birthday to your sweet little angel. I too was sick during my pregnancy, so I feel for you. And I didn't have any other medical issues, so I know it must have been really hard for you. But she was worth every ounce of it, wasn't she?
