~ Whatcha Working On Wednesday ~

Here we are once again another Wednesday and it has been a week and a half since I last posted. I had all intentions to post last Wednesday but before I knew it the day had slipped away and so on so forth.

My husband claims I am having the January blues. The weather isn't helping with below temperatures. It's so cold that you just don't want to go out. Also one of my doctors changed my medication back to one I was taking last Spring and now I know why he originally took me off because they make me down and very sleepy. I just don't have any get up and go and feel sleepy for the most part of the day. But when it comes to bedtime I am not tired. I haven't done much at all since Christmas. I worked a little on my Snowmen penny runner and cut out another pattern but I haven't gotten into crafting like I normally do. I do have so many things that I want to do such as cute little wool pillows to tuck in little corners, cross stitching patterns and of course so many more. I just need to kick myself in the butt and get in gear. And on top of not having much energy I have been in alot more pain then normal. My poor joints are having a hard time. And I don't think it helped by playing our new family game...the Wii Fit. I may have over done it but it's hard to say if it really was that. These past four days have been awful and I have not gone near the Wii. Why oh why...Can't wait for next month when I get to see both of my Doctors to see what's up.

Anyways enough of that...On to what I have been slowly working on.
Here is my snowmen penny runner...I am almost finished. All I have left to do is stitch their mouths, finish off the stitching on one the scarfs and then do the blanket stitch all around. It is coming along slowly and I can't wait to complete it.
Once I have this one completed, I have already cut out the pattern for my next one. I can't wait to start this one...it is so cute. I purchased this one off line so it will be my first one that I will actually be using real wool. I can already see the difference from wool felt. Won't it be a cute one? I have been told that once you work with real wool you don't want to go back to wool felt. I guess I will let you all know when I get started :)
I have also started decorating the house for Valentine's. Of course so far all I have done is my Valentine's Tree. It's missing a few other things which I have to dig out from the basement. Or should I say hubby has to dig out... :)
Tabitha and Abigayle are looking forward to Valentine's because last year I started something new which was a hit that I have decided to continue the tradition. It is called the "12 days of Valentines". I have a calendar made up of something for each day starting with day one which is a couple of days into the month of Valentines and the 12th day ends on Valentines Day. I will be posting each day on my blog so you all can see the fun we will have. I don't want to tell you to much yet but as we approach the time closer I will fill you in on more. All I can say is that the girls and hubby had so much fun with it and it brought us closer as a family because we are required to do FAMILY things. Sadly with everyone's busy life we don't take enough time to do family things. We should be doing more as a Family and I must say this is something we should work on as a Family for this year.

Now onto the next item...I was Awarded 4 times by 4 different people for the 'Lemonade Award'. I am so very honored ladies for such a great Award. I want to thank you so much, starting off with Lisa over at House of Many Blessings, Jennifer over at Country Acres Primitives, Benedetta over at Primitive Folk Art by Benedetta and lastly by Becca over at Folk Art From The Harbor. Again Thank You ladies! If you have yet to receive this Award consider it done. Go ahead and take it and you can post it on your blog.
I am now off to try and get some ZZZ's. Sadly I have to hit the roads tomorrow with these below temperatures. Tabitha has a dentist appointment that is a must. But I shall leave you with such a cute picture of my baby girl...Daisy-Roo. She just loves having her picture taken. Lately she is stuck to my left hip :)
Have a great day tomorrow and I will be back later this week with more pictures of our Valentines Decorations.

Sandy, I hope you get feeling better and more yourself. I love your penny rugs. I would like to make a small wool pillow, too, to tuck in somewhere. Do you just make the pillow, then blanketstitch the heart or whatever on it? I've never worked alot with wool except doll clothes. Have a wonderful day.

Hi Sandy, I am sorry you are not feeling great. The winter blues are no fun and then to have the additional complications is not easy.

You will love working with the wool. It just feels so good and doesn't pick and pill like the felt can.

Feel better soon my freind!

Those sheep are just way too cute! Hope you start feeling better. As long as the sun is out (which it is today suprisingly!) I can handle life a whole lot better!

Hi Sandy! Oh my.. can't wait to see how the little Sheep rug turns out. It's already darling!
I know what you mean about the Winter blahs! It's minus 3 degrees this a.m. in Kansas! AAAaaack!! Too cold for anything outside.
I ache all the time too.. arthritis does not like cold, or just changes in the temp's. Hope you're feeling better soon. Blessings, Penny

Sandy,

I sure hope you are feeling better! I'm sure the cold doesn't help those joints at all!

I still haven't tried a penny rug but it's something I'd like to definitely try sometime. Your sheep one is going to be great! (By the way, when I switched internet carriers, I'm pretty sure I lost my Christmas tree penny rug pattern you sent).

I would love to do something similiar to what you said - 12 days of Valentines...especially since Joy's birthday falls in there. It sounds like fun..I love anything that brings closeness and fun to the family!

Have a great day! I do hope you are feeling better soon!

Yes, we are identical as are my brothers. We are 1 minute apart and my brothers are 7 years older than us.

I think they should teach sign language in schools. That way everyone has the opertunity to learn. One of the high schools i went to offered sign language, and our teacher was deaf. It was pretty cool to learn from a deaf person!

I can't wait to see what you 12 days of Valentine's is all about!! I hope you and your family have a wonderful weekend!!♥
