~ Whatcha Working On Wednesday ~

Today is snowing and very CoLd!
So maybe...just maybe we might have a white Christmas :)
I think we are in for a very long Winter...yuck!

I have been very busy...tons of crafts on the go. So when I get bored of one I switch to another. That is me...always something to do :)

I finished my little snowmen faces and they are now in the tree. I have to admit, my tree is looking pretty full. These little guys are so easy to make and fun!
I also finished my stitchery but still unsure what to do with it. I think I will probably frame it but for now it is so cold out there and all that snow, not sure to when I will get the frame painted. I wanted to paint them awhile back and kept putting it off. Oh well...I am sure I will get a descent day here soon.
I now started my new penny rug and LOVE IT!
I think it will be quite simple to make. This will be my little project while I watch TV at night with the family. And what I love most about it...is that it is snowmen so I can leave it out after Christmas.
This next project I started yesterday but then got stumped...as you all know I am only a beginner sewer and don't quite understand all the sewing terms yet. So today I slipped over to my MIL's for help. So now I understand and was able to continue. But mind you I am having a bit of a problem with that darn hat...LOL. Once I attach it to the snowman face I am going to have to make a couple extra stitches so it will stand straight up. So this afternoon I will paint the hat and head since I have a few other things that also need to be painted.

This was a pattern that Moonchild's Primitives offered for free.
For my next project, I know I am pushing my luck by making them so late but I just couldn't resist because they give decorations that extra touch. I pretty much know where I want to put them. All I need to do now is coffee dye them and add the glitter.
And last but not least I just had to give a try to Colleen from ...and baby makes five little snowmen faces. They were so cute, so I made a batch of them...well maybe more then a batch...LOL. Now all I need to do is paint them. Of course my Abigayle is so excited to get that job done. I am still undecided what to do with them but I think I am going to attempt a couple into ornaments and maybe the rest as bowl fillers. But we will see and I will be sure to post pictures on where I put them.
So as you can see I have quite the projects on the go but like I said that is me. You know I wish I was a person who could sit and do nothing but I just can't. I ALWAYS have to be busy with something if not my brain works overtime and thinks of things I shouldn't be thinking of. But what I like most is that I am doing things that I enjoy and if I can't get to them today, I know I will have something to do tomorrow.

Before I sign off for the day, I have to share with you my most recent purchase that I made. I always love reading Janae's blog...Cozy Coop but then I decided to check out her Etsy Store...OMG she has beautiful things and she is not expansive at all. I also have to say that she has excellent service. I purchased this beautiful snowman, awesome stocking and she even added a little prim star with my purchase. Thank You so much Janane! My snowman is sooooo CUTE and I just love the stocking! Drop on over to her Etsy Store and check it out.
I have to run for now so I can work on my some of my projects and of course check out a few of my favorite blogs :)

Have a great afternoon and I will be back!

Sandy, you are always so busy and now you are doing penny rugs. How wonderful! All of your projects are just so cute. It's so cold here, too, I'm in sewing & baking cookies but have to go out and feed the birds. I love Janae's etsy shop, I purchased from her before & everything was wonderful. Stay warm.

You have lots going :) I have so little. I have ideas, but I'm not getting to work on them. Time is catching up with me and at this point, I want Christmas to be over so I can make something for myself! LOL I feel so greedy but by the end, I get too particular, second guess everything and nothing goes right....I need a break! LOL

Have a great day and good luck with your sewing :)

Everything looks WONDERFUL! I am the same as yuo, I get bored and go to another task. :) I can't wait to see all of your finished projects! I have been wanting to really make myself a penny rug, is it hard? As for my hearts, thank you for your sweet compliment...I got a tip to brush them with egg whites to make them shiny.
