GobLinS, ghOstS & ghOulS oh My!

...not really...hehe...it was Clowns and a Girl ready for bed around our house for Halloween. The girls were all set to go TrIcK oR tReAtInG right after school yesterday. Abby being the first to come home at 2:20 was rushing to get her costume on and be ready for when her big SIS got home at 3:15. Tabitha was not all that creative with her costume this year being that she was just dressed in her PJ's that her Memere made her last year for Christmas. She feels she is getting to old for this stuff...as if, she is only 11 BUT wanting to be 16 so bad!

Here is my Abigayle all dressed up as a clown...costume that her Memere made for Tabitha a couple years back. I bought make-up from the Dollarstore but I guess there are things that you buy and they really are a buck because the make-up sucked! So I tried being as creative with my own makeup as much as possible. Abby was proud of what I came up with so that is what counted the most.
The girls were telling me to hurry and snap the pic so they could get out and get their candy collected. I don't let the girls go door to door, instead we go to houses of people we know and trust me they still get enough candy because everyone makes them up their special treat bags. Here they are getting ready to go out the door...
One of our pit stops was at my 96 year old Grandmothers. We caught her having her early supper...so sorry Gram :) She was happy to see us stop in because she just loves seeing the girls since I am the only one who lives close by with great-grandchildren. Imagine...she has over 50 great grandchildren and only gets to see mine. The rest of the little ones live so very far that some of them have never even met her. We LOVE her so much and I treasure every moment that I have with her :) I kinda of snapped the pic with Grammie's eyes closed...she HATES the camera by the way...
The night came to a close at 7:30...the girls were disappointed, they wanted to continue BUT Mommy was very much exhausted! And besides you should see the candy they both got.

Now normally Abby is not a junk food junkie BUT today she just did not stop eating it. I kept telling her she had enough but she still kept sneaking around and grabbing some here and there. Well guess what??? She was very much sick tonight. We asked her if she was going to eat more candy tomorrow and her answer was "NO!" Poor thing...I do feel bad for her but I know tomorrow she will stay clear of the candy :)

Today all I did was work on my stitchery's and just a little bit of house work :)
I completed this one last night while watching TV but it still needed to be coffee died and baked to prim perfection.
and here it is completed...
I also found this pattern yesterday while going through some of my Craft Binders and just had to do this one! I completely forgot I even had this one and thought how cute it would be added to my decorations.
So without any surprise...LOL...I got busy this afternoon and slapped it together within a couple of hours. So I figured since I already had the coffee made up for the other stitchery, I my as well save it and use it on this one. ET VOILA...another stitchery completed!
It was so funny because both of my girls are more French then English and did not know what "COAL" was, so I had to explain to them in French what it was why it was written on the stitchery. I don't think they liked the idea about getting coal in their stockings...LOL

I have yet another pattern that I really would like for a stitchery...so should I start yet another one or begin working on my sewing projects for some prim snowman???
I guess only tomorrow will tell. But then again there will be no crafting tomorrow since we will be heading out to my parents for the afternoon. They are calling for a really cold morning but to turn into a nice sunny afternoon. Hubby is leaving me bright and early for a day of hunting so it will a mommy and girls day out.

I hope everyone is having a sunny and happy weekend so far...until next time my friends :)

Sandy

Very cute :)

Love your stitcheries. I have looked at that "No Coal" one so many times but I didn't do others patterns in the past so I just kept going. This year I may have to try that and hang it near the stockings :) It is too cute! I'm really loving my time that I spend stitching!

I really do not like Jeremy being gone. The house just isn't the same. He works a lot lately so it seems like we barely see him. I won't lie and I'll say I did get a little upset with him for even thinking about going awaydy told me he's going back up there in a few weeks. Then he's taken off for bear season and deer season will start after Thanksgiving. Hunting season wears on me after a bit. I'm pretty cool about it and then I just have enough. It might be a bit better this year with the kids both being in school so I get a bit of a break but a few years I thought I was going to have a breakdown! LOL How many more weeks are left? LOL

Have a great rest of your weekend!

Love all of your stitcheries, too. And I'm the same way with my ever-growing crafting wish list :) I can't wait to see what you decide to whip up next!

Sandy, the girls look so cute! I know what you mean about the makeup...on my blog you will see a pic of Emily making Adam into the Joker. They got the makeup at the Dollar store, too. He could not get it off! Emily had to bring makeup remover cloths to get it off of his face....he was not amused! I love your little snowman stitchery, so sweet. I really need to do mine! Hugs! ~Beth`

I love seeing your girls all dressed up and your grandmother DOES NOT look her age. I bet she really enjoys seeing your daughters. Love your stitchery---especially the coal one. Do you remember where you got the pattern??

Love your stitcheries!! I have not done any in so long, but seeing yours makes me want to start one.
I made a friend a wall-hanging of snowmen of the month a few years ago and don't think I've done any since then.
Can't wait to see what you stitch next!!

Could you please post your method for coffee staining and baking to prim perfection. You have inspired me to do my first stitchery and I don't want to ruin it.

The kids looked like they had fun, and you are so lucky to have your gram with you, I still miss mine and it has been about seven years since she passed.

I love your two new stitcheries, you are getting so fast! I am jealous cause I have a stupid IV in my have until Thursday, and cant see well enough to stitch right now. I have a dozen things to start, and some already in the works, and its driving me crazy.

So I will just have to visit your blog every day to statisfy my urges.

Wooly hugs,
Trudy
