We had a wet one so I got myself busy sewing. After reading Colleen's blog over at "...and baby makes five", last Wednesday she made some flowers. I remembered that I had a similar pattern. So I dug it out Friday and began sewing my little project. But I figured since I was going to have my sewing machine out I also decided to sew this cute little sheep that comes with interchanging quilts that lay on his back. My pattern for the flowers comes from "Tennessee Ridge Primitives", I got the pattern free off of their site. I have their blog saved in my Fav Blogs under the name of "EXTREME PRIMITIVES". At least once a month a new pattern is posted...everyone should go and check it out. The patterns are very easy to make and OH SO CUTE!
My next project, the Sheep comes from the "Country Marketplace". This magazine is no longer published but you still can order back issues from the Country Sampler web site. I ordered a few about 6 months ago...they have some awesome projects inside to do :) I have been wanting to make this Sheep for quite some time now and I figured now would be a good one since they called for rain all weekend. It was so EASY to make, I couldn't get over it. What took the longest time was stitching the little quilts. So I did that in the evening while watching TV. I am not quite finished yet, I still have to put the little tags SPRING, SUMMER, FALL & WINTER. I had to ordered them so they should be in this week. But I am so pleased on how it turned out that I decided to make one for a friend of mine who is having a baby in September and she is decorating the room up in Sheep. I know she will love it since we both have the same taste.
So that was my weekend...full of sewing. My husband was busy re-doing our main bath. I will post some photos when he is done. My washroom didn't have the country/prim feel to it so we decided to put some wanes coating on the main wall and the other two walls, half way up. The fourth wall is all tub and closet so we saved there. I do not have a very big washroom so it is difficult to have more then one person in there at a time. But by the end of the weekend it should all be done so I will be sure to post the finished work.
And last but not least GOOD LUCK to everyone for Kindra's drawing that will be taking place tonight or tomorrow. She has some beautiful items to be won.
I hope everyone started out with a beautiful Monday ;)
Until next time...Sandy

I made those flowers a few weeks ago. They are so fast and fun to make.
Love the sheep. I think I have that pattern.

Thanks for the comments on my blog. I have that sheep pattern--I love it. You have inspired me to make it. I thought it would take awhile--glad to hear that it is easy. Julie
That sheep is adorable! Love the little appliqued blankets for his back. So creative!
hugs, Linda
Can you tell me what magazine issue the pattern is in for the sheep? I'm sure I must have it, but it will be easier to find if I know what's on the cover too!
