It seems the weekends fly right on by and the weekdays take forever to get through.
We had a very stormy Saturday, Valentine's Day. It literally snowed the whole entire day and accumulated to be quite a bit. I attempted to go out but was not very long turning around and coming back home. The roads were really bad and to add to it we had really high winds causing next to non visibility. So it was a day to stay in where it was warm and safe.
My 12 Days of Valentines finished yesterday...
Friday was Day 11 ~ Girls Movie Night.
Us girls curled up on the couch in our PJ's and watched Beverly Hills Chihuahua.
It was a EXCELLENT movie! It made us laugh and even made my little Abigayle cry at one point. I felt so bad seeing her cry and thought "Oh no, she is one sensitive girl like her Mommy". But I recommend this movie to anyone with kids and even without kids. This was a very relaxing evening :)
Then Yesterday, Day 12 ~ Valentines Day.
As I said it was storming outside so it was spent as a very quiet day. I cleaned a bit around the house and did up some laundry while Hubby was at work. I watched the snow come down like crazy. The girls received their last gift . Now I am not a person who buys my girls gifts just because or all the time. They get gifts on special occasions, such as Valentines, Easter, Birthdays and Christmas. So their Valentines gift is something to share and actually something for the Whole Family. We purchased the guitar that goes with our Wii game for Guitar Hero.
So everyone enjoyed yet another year of our special Valentines.
We woke up this morning to clear sky's, mild weather and lots of snow. Over the weekend it was our Winter Carnival and we promised the girls that we would go over to where the ceremonies were being held and see what was new from last year.
Very impressive...
There was a tunnel ~ maze all made from ice and snow. It was completely closed in so some places were even quite dark. I also have to admit it was warmer inside then it was outside. At some points we were getting lost...LOL. The girls really enjoyed it alot and I have to say so did hubby and I. Here is Abby in a low tunnel made for small kids...
and here are the girls inside, down one of the tunnels...
There was also horse, sleigh rides. The horses were beautiful! We did not take a ride because there was a line up and I was frozen solid. But we watched...
There were different activities for the kids to do, such as this one sliding out of the mouth on top of a large snow moutain. This was enjoyed by all the kids. Tabitha was the first one to come down the hill...
and right behind her, came Abigayle.
Also displayed here is the "World's largest Igloo". The man who built this had entered a competition last year for the Guinness World Book of Records and he won. So again this year he duplicated the same Igloo from last year except he made it taller this time around. It is pretty amazing and a excellent job!
There was also Igloo competitions going on. Anybody was able to sign up with a team and build their own Igloo. Your Igloo had to withstand so much weight and many other rules and regulations. But I just had to take a picture of this paticurlar Igloo because the team had it some what decorated up as a Primitive Igloo. It was just to cute :)
After we seen everything and tried different things, it was time to head home. The girls were not all that cold because they were dressed up in their snow suits but Hubby and I could no longer feel our ears nor hands. And I have to say even my legs were frozen. Jeans are not exactly the best things to wear on cold days. But today was enjoyed by all.Now this evening will be spent quietly and maybe even a movie. I guess we will see...
So until next time my Friends...stay safe and warm :)
