~ Day 1 ~

I am so sorry that I have been away for so long...
Seems like a habit for me lately. I don't mean to but it just seems to be.
How has everyone been? Nothing much going on here...same old...running here and there. Snow storm one day then below temperatures the next. A typical Winter I guess. I am so looking forward to Spring. But as my husband says, once we can get through the month of February and March the rest is all up hill.

I have dug out my patterns for Easter. I am thinking now would be a good time to start...but then again it's to kick myself in the rear end. I just don't have that get up and go. Two more weeks to go before I see the Doctor...I hope we can find some new med that won't make me gain weight but keep me stable and let me sleep but get back my energy again.

But I did promise you that I will post each day my "12 Day's of Valentines". Today was the kick off day...Day 1. I had all plans to make a pizza night for everyone with a yummy desert. Sadly like majority families we do not all sit down to supper each night. There is always something...meetings, singing, choir, babysitting...you all know the usual and they always seem to fall during supper time. So tonight was suppose to be just us four to a delicious pizza supper. But late this afternoon I received a phone call from the school stating that Tabitha was hurt during Phys-Ed class and she should be brought to the Emergency for X-Rays. I was so scared to see what her injuries were because you see, I have a very weak stomach. But to my surprise it did not look all that bad...just alot of swelling. During Phys-Ed, they were playing tug of war in Teams of 2. Tabitha's partner let go of the rope leaving her alone to pull and of course she fell forward landing on her hand/thumb. We were not sure if she broke it or not. So with us going to the Emergency for X-Rays...spending the afternoon there, I did not get supper done. Good News, she did not break her thumb but instead sprained it. She was happy to know that and so was I :)

So with us running late and no supper made...my darling hubby treated us out to pizza at the Pizza Delight. The next best thing! Everyone was so hungry and nothing was wasted, we all had clean plates :) But the girls were excited to get home to their Day 1 SuRpRiSe...wouldn't you be??? Today was suppose to be kicked off with a Family Pizza Night with a little gift, so everyone still got their little suprise.
They wanted me to hurry up and take the picture so they could rip open their gifts. As I mentioned before all my gifts came from the Dollarstore so they are nothing major but just enough to put a smile on their faces. As you can see here they were pleased with what they received.
Day 2 will be ~ Hugs & Kisses Day ~...so since we did not get to make our pizza supper we will be eating Pizza again tomorrow night. We LOVE pizza here so everyone is happy to know that we will be eating it again tomorrow night...LOL.
So stayed tuned to tomorrow to see what I have planned :)

Once last thing that I wanted to share with you all...I completed my Snowmen Penny Runner!!! I can not believe that it is finally finished. I took a long time this time around. But am very happy to have it done. So now, I have been working on my two sheep penny rug. I will share some pictures later this week.
So until tomorrow for Day 2, have a great evening and we will see you all tomorrow.

That is soooo sweet. I wish I had thought of something like that when my kids were younger.. now they are all 20 something and I'm lucky if I get them all together for pizza once a year :( Cherish the days and may they always be blessed!

Hugs,
Stella

Your day one still sounds like it was special, even if it wasn't exactly how you had it planned. Life kicks in sometimes and we have to have backup. Praise God for your loving hubby! I'm so glad to know too, that Tabitha is okay.
Enjoy the rest of your days!
