Today was a just because day for the "12 Days of Valentines".
I had a special gift awaiting for Mike and the girls. Because reading is so important in our family they each received a special book in French.
Abby received a Valentines book on Clifford the Big Red Dog with some Valentines chocolates...
I just pray I don't catch it...I am due for my Remicade next week. It seems like 6 weeks roll around rather quickly.
Today was a very productive day. Marie over at A Little Bit of Country on the Shore was showing the other day how she cleaned out her bill drawer. So that gave me the idea that mine had to be done also. And then at the same time I organized all my paperwork for Income Tax Season. Now that feels good to have that done and out of the way.
Since the cabinet is in my bedroom...I decided to try and change things around in there. But of course what I switched around ended up being put back in the same old way...LOL. Now I remember why my room was placed that way :)))) I have a King Size Bed with alot of furniture in that large but oddly shapped room. But it really only can be set up one way. Since I was moving furniture around I found those dust bunnies that just seem to appear out of know where...LOL. Can someone tell me where they come from...hehe. So my room ended up getting a really good cleaning. The only thing left is to clean my windows but it is just way to cold outside. That will be done this Spring. Sorry, I lied...the closets need to be done also. It took me the whole afternoon to go through all my bills/paperwork and cleaning my bedroom from top to bottom. But boy does it feel good knowing it is done :)
I thought I would share a few photos of my bedroom...this is my favorite room in the house.
Since I was cleaning my bedroom all up...I also did alot of rearranging...tweaking as Linda from Behind my Red Door puts it :) And boy did I move things around. Of course I still am not sure if I like how everything is displayed. Knowing me I will change things again...hehe
This ended leading me to my hall...
The large crow will be going outside once I have my shelving built. I want a shelving painted this mustard color to put on my front porch and I thought this crow would be so cute and welcoming to visitors :)
So that is all for today my friends. I guess tomorrow will lead me to clean out something else :) And I think I already know what...So until tomorrow...Day 5.

I love the mustard color on the dresser. Your room looks all nice and cozy.
I love that green in your bedroom and all the dressers you primmed up!
I've been thinking about you and your treatments. My aunt just finished up her Remicade treatments and is feeling not up to things as well. :( I hope you get more and more energy as time goes on.
I'm enjoying your 12 days of Valentine's. :)
I love all your ideas for you 12 days of valentines! I did something like this many years ago for an old boyfriend, only it was 7 days..
I love the color of your room! Ours is a similar color, just a tad lighter..
I was very interested to learn about the french books - what a great gift!
Your room looks so warm and inviting and relaxing. I have the same problem with our room because of the king bed, it only fits one way (and not even the best that way!)
Sandy,
What wonderful gifts for your family. I think it's so special how you make Valentine's Day such a fun time for your family. Your bedroom is so warm and cozy.
hugs,
Pam
Love your bedroom! I don't even try to change our room...it's so small I can't move anything plus the pieces are so heavy I can't do it alone.
The girls are sooooo cute! How wonderful they are fluent in two languages - and French is such a pretty language.

Your bedroom is great, Sandy! No wonder it's your favorite room!
I went back and got caught up on your days of Valentine that I missed. I just love this idea!
And I'm very impressed that your girls are fluent in both French and English!
Have a great weekend!

Again.. I am impressed with your valentine theme.. it is just the cutest idea and they will cherish it forever. I love the mustard dresser.. can you tell me what paint/color that is? I've been looking for something like that but everything seems too yellow. Have a great weekend!

Hi Sandy,
How are you? I was in Quebec when I was about 14 and it seemed they all spoke French, neat to hear:) How wonderful that your two girls speak both languages so well!
