~ Day 5 & 6 ~

WeLcOmE tO dAy 5 ~ FaMiLy MoViE nIgHt

Well this night did not go as planned. But I guess this is to be expected as the Family begins to get older.

I haven't been out to my parents house for well over a month now. Dad called Saturday morning wanting to know if we had any plans and if we would like to go out for supper. When I hung up the phone with him, Tabitha got a call to go and babysit till about 11pm. So we missed out on our Family Movie Night :( We will have to make it up :)

Day 5 was a coupon night...so all three of them were awaiting to choose. Tabitha chose a "Your Favorite Meal" which she cashed in last night for a McFlurry from McDonalds. She still has a really sore throat and she wanted something that would be cold and refreshing. I made promises to these coupons and they have to have them used up by Valentines. So since we missed out on movie night I was OK with it.
Abby chose a "Afternoon of Crafts"...so we will make sure to get that used up one day this week after school. She just loves making some form of a craft :)
And then Mike got a "Dish Duty" :))))
The girls were quite relieved not to have chosen this one...LOL.
But Mike was so good because he cashed it in today. Since we did not get our Movie Night, Mike got up this morning and made us a Valentines Breakfast...French Toast, Bacon and Eggs. He also cleaned up the whole mess along with the dishes. What a sweet heart!
Yesterday was spent cleaning out some more secret hidding spots. Boy can we accumulate alot of stuff...paper...junk and much more. I have so many hidding spots in this house since I am limited to space...cabinets become my junk spots...LOL. I can't be the only one like this...RIGHT GIRLS??? So I decided since Friday I cleaned out my filing cabinet and already had a bunch of items for the shred it, I my as well continue on and clean out some more of my secret hidding spots.

I can't believe I am going to show you guys this...but here goes...don't think bad of me, PLEASE ;)
I am so emberressed that I let it go this long. It was getting to the point I could no longer close the door on my dry sink. I would always beg people not to open the door due to the fact something may fall out...LOL. I am a neat freak but seeing this you would not think so. But after going through the paper work and what nots...it finally looked like this :)
I keep all my genealogy research in here along with my monthly budget paperwork and of course other important papers. And then you see that nice clock in the bottom here...it is a old clock that DH inherited but it don't work. We will have to get it in to a expert and see if we can get it up and running. We found a penny inside dating in the ealry 1920's. So we are guessing that it must be a older clock but you never know. Someone may have wanted to get us going...

Once I got this all cleaned out, I got right into making some more room sprays. Hubby sells them for me at his store and the inventory was running very low. So I made a selection of them and my little Abigayle helped me out sticking the scent stickers on and putting on the spray caps. She is always up to give a lending hand.
I then picked up a few things here and there and before I knew it, it was time for Hubby to arrive home so we could head out to my parents house for supper. Mike has to work every Saturday and only gets home between 5:15 ~ 5:30pm. It's not always fun just because we can not plan get aways when we like or if we do, we can only leave in the late afternoon's on Saturdays. We are hoping some day this will change and then this way here it will be more flexible for us....SOMEDAY...

And this leads up to Day 6 ~ FaMiLy GaMe NiGhT

That's right...tonight was game night. We played a game of bowling ont the Wii. Are there others out there that own one of these games? I am not much into owning games but I broke down and agreed to purchase this for the family. I don't regret it one bit!!! We also purchased the Wii Fit and boy does that thing make you work out. We sure do get some laughs out it. You should see my 6' 2" husband trying to do the holla hoop. It's enough to make you pee your pants. He is trying so hard to break Tabitha's record...but you have to move in circular motions REALLY...REALLY fast. By the time you get done...your legs are burning like a son of a gun! You use body parts that you never imagined you had. A game like this that keeps us as a family active has won my vote. If anyone out there is second guessing to spend the money on it...trust me...it is well worth it. I REFUSE to purchase games that have to do with killing and things like that so instead we own active games. And the girls LOVE it!!!

And of course don't forget that today was coupon day once again. Everyone was very much excited to get their coupon for the day. Knowing now that Daddy chose Dish Duty, no one would have to worry about choosing this one.

Abigayle chose "Playing a Game with You". So we will cash this one in one day after school this week. Maybe we can ski or play soccer...LOL...more games that make you laugh :)
Tabitha chose "One Breakfast for the Family and clean up"...when she chose that one, she said Ah...Dad should of had this one. She is to funny! But I know Daddy...he will help her one morning :)
And then of course there was my Mike. He chose "One Hour of Music of your Choice"
Everything about Mike and I goes well together except for our choice of music. We can really but heads on this one. So he was quite excited! Imagine if he ever won the lottery??? This guy is our, as you call it "Class Clown"...LOL. He always loves to get a laugh out of me and the girls ;)
So you can say we had a fun filled weekend with some really nice weather that was melting the snow away. But mind you tonight it is suppose to be -29 with the wind chill. I know I have said it before but I am really ready for Spring. I am a Summer person but I will settle for Spring right now. My body does not like this cold weather at all.

So I will be back tomorrow with Day 7...stay tuned until then my FRIENDS. Have a great evening :)

Sandy,

That all looks so fun! I love anything that brings the family together!

It doesn't take long for closets and drawers to get out of hand for me! It really bugs me when it does, and it's such a good feeling to get it organized again!

Joy just had her birthday and is wanting to buy a Wii Fit with her birthday money. Everything I've heard is excellent and that it's worth the money!

Looks like you all are having fun with your 12 days of valentines ! Love all the pictures ! Your dry sink didn't look that bad ! It feels so nice to get things organized though doesn't it :-) We need to get our Wii out and play it more often. We did when we first got it, but haven't in awhile. Maybe this week we will have some Wii time ! Have a great day Sandy !

I'm sorry movie night did not pan out!
I have many areas in my home that look like your dry sink! I am slowly, but surely doing the same as you!

Your family sounds like so much fun but I can see that you make it be that way...love the coupon idea.

Everyone no matter how much of a neat freak needs some places they can just chuck things when they want them out of sight...I for one am that way too! Glad to see someone else it as well.
