DiD yOu SaY gHoStS???

While hubby is away, we shall play...
The girls and I are making ourselves some grungy ghosts.
Tabitha & Abigayle are making each one to give to their Teachers for Halloween, I am keeping one for myself and will give the other away. They are simple to make...it will take ALOT longer for them to dry. I am figuring by Sunday they should be ready.

Supplies needed:
~ Styrofoam balls
~ Styrofoam cones
~ White pipe cleaners
~ Cheese Cloth
~ Fabric Stiffener
~ Toothpicks
~ Coffee

The first thing I did was cut my cheese cloth in half and then took those halves and cut in half again. I then took the coffee and put into a bowl and coffee died the cheese cloth. While I was waiting for the cheese cloth to coffee die, I prepared the styrofoam.
You take a foam ball and attach it to the cone with a toothpick. Then take a pipe cleaner and cut in half for the arms. You just stick them in the sides and shape them to which ever way you wish. Here is what they look like...not the girls...LOL
My cheese cloth is now ready to wring out and soak up in the fabric glue. I used a 2L ice cream container for this. I also forgot to mention before we started I placed wax paper on the counter to collect the mess. You then wring out the cheesecloth because you do not want it soaking wet. You then drape it to the way you wish. I draped the first piece going from left to right and the second piece from front to back. I then played with the cheesecloth so the two pieces would blend in and also turning it under at the bottom. Now we have to wait...
I am guessing by Sunday they should be fully dry. Once dried we will paint a set of black eyes est VOILA! I have even seen a picture once they were all ready, a string of white lights were added underneath to give that affect at night. So once they are dry I will make sure to take the final picture. Abby can't understand why we can't paint the eyes right now and that it will take a day or two before the cheesecloth is fully dried. She is just to funny...

Hubby called and said he is having fun but being kept very busy. I have a feeling by the time he gets home he will be burnt! He went to a Sushi Bar today and really enjoyed it. The difference between him and I, he will try anything once as for I...NO WAY! Tonight was a limited amount of people party where prizes are to be won and everything is paid. I think they were something like 400 people tonight BUT tomorrow will be the big day, a couple thousand. Tomorrow is his cook off...so I am sending my GOOD LUCK to him :) I know he will do well. I had some people ask about if the egg is a smoker. You can smoke your food, grill it or bake it. You can only cook with charcoal and boy the food has a total different taste compared to a propane b-que. We live on our green egg during all four seasons. Got to love it...Mike does all the cooking this way...I hate to cook...LOL. These next few days the girls will be eating very simple meals...no really, it won't be that bad. I am invited to the In-Laws tomorrow and my parents Sunday. What better can I ask for...hehe...I know I am spoiled :)

I wish you all a very Happy Weekend with lots of sun and fun.

Sandy,
I hope you are doing well today:)

I forgot to say that you have two of the cutest little girls...you must be so proud.

Also I've always wanted to ask, how do you do your little pillows? Do you use patterns for each? I have all this felt but don't know what to do with it...for instance did you use a pattern to cut out the crow? or did you do it free hand?
