I sAw ThE sIgNs...

How was everyone's Monday?
We are having such beautiful weather for this time of the year...I am not complaining. Today was so nice that we could go outside with no coats. I know it wont last long but I will take what ever we get because with November fast approaching, we know what is next.

Last week Rondell from Tomatoe Creek Prims and Tammy from Country Girl at Home posted about Signs and Sayings and I thought that was such a great idea. You don't realize how many signs or sayings you actually have in the house until you look around. So I thought I would do a post on the same topic today. At first when reading their blogs, I thought I don't have that many until I started going around the house with camera and began snapping pictures. I have quite a few to share with you...
Here in the dining room, Kindra's wonderful work showing off my family names along with another block saying Blessings...
I just love shaker houses so I have this sign posted in my entrance...
Of course this one belongs to hubby since he is the chef in our house...
On top of our mini-wine rack, we have this one displayed in such an appropriate spot :)
I have this sign pointed upstairs...
and just above you will find my gameboard wall, which have yet again more signs...
In my bedroom, I found some more...As mentioned in other blogs I LOVE crows :)
And here in the main bath you will find these...
I found this one in Abby's room...
More from Kindra...I love these season blocks, they are so prim and nice...
This one I get many conversations going...it is just to funny...
In my laundry room, you will find these next two signs...
Heading down into the basement, you will be greeted with this one that I bought many years ago at the Farmers Market.
This one is one of my favorites. Mike was in his sisters wedding last Fall and as a gift from the bride and groom, they got him this. It is a brander with his name on it and a piece of wood branded. I told hubby that this would make a great piece of decoration in the kitchen...hehe.
Of course I have MANY, MANY more but I would bring you guys into tomorrow...LOL. I hope you enjoyed the tour.

But before I leave for the evening I have to show you all my valance that I completed for the Dining Room. It took me the whole afternoon to make them and now I am paying for it...my poor back is killing me from standing, sitting, bending and so on. But I am so proud on how they turned out since I haven't been sewing for very long...
I now will continue my stitchery's for my winter pillows. I am going to my MIL's tomorrow evening for some pointers because I have never sewed the way I want the pillows to look. Just maybe I will be able to post a completed project tomorrow night. Stayed tuned until then...

Have a great evening...

Sandy

Oh my Sandy!!! you do have so many signs - I think they look great! Do you rotate them around, or just have them all out all over the house?

Hi Sandy. Great tour! Thank you! One question, is your coffee mug with the crow a Kim Klassen design?
And to answer your question, the snowmen heads are a 2 1/2" styrofoam ball that I poked a wire hanger into with a dab of hot glue, and then molded Creative Peperclay around. (Got it at Micheals) They dried over night, I painted them antique white, added the faces, a layer of mod podge and then mica flakes while it was wet. They took a while but I really love how they turned out! I've never worked with paperclay before. I've already packaged them in clear bags(2 heads and 4 icicles), with a jute tie and jingle bell, and a tag that says "Brr in a Bag", Now let's see if they sell!
Bye for now! Kimberly

Wow! So many great signs. I went to a place today called "Buy the Season" and they had so many signs. I really had to be good. Good thing I didn't look at your blog before I went. lol

Your curtains look so great! I waited and waited to make curtains and then I got prim fever. So now I'm wishing I had chosen a more prim fabric. But I'm thinking I might be able to grubby the ones I made a little bit and make them prim. muahahaha

Love all your signs...you do have a large collections of them. I've also seen the signs that the other bloggers have shared and now I want to go around my home to see how many I have. Sometimes we have more of something than we think we do.
