Fall Day & Our Ghosts

What a beautiful Fall Day we had today :)
The sun was shinning and it was not that cold, just a slight breeze.
We spent the afternoon out at my parents house to celebrate my Dad's Birthday.
"Happy Birthday Dad!" It was just I and the girls since the rest of my family all live so far away. The girls pulled a prank on my father...they added a flashlight to his gift that gives you shocks. I wish I would of had the camera ready when he pressed the button. The expression on his face was priceless. The girls got a good laugh!

Since today was so beautiful out, the girls and I went outside to take a couple of pictures. My parents have a few acres of land and it's full of trees and wildlife. There is also a pond on their property which have a few Beavers. I was hoping the Beavers would of came out from the damn but I guess maybe the girls were being to loud. They also have a few rabbits that run around, along with some beautiful deer and the odd Moose. But of course none of them appeared. I am sure the noise the girls were making and the dogs running around like crazy did not help.

Here the girls are peaking around one of the big trees at my parents...
And then of course I had to take a picture of them by themselves. They both love the camera...Here is Abigayle...
And here is Tabitha...
We all had a fun afternoon even though we were very little. I am very close to my father, he means the world to me. I grew up from a broken home and was always with my father. We lived through some really tough times but always got through it. My father remarried and had two other children with his second wife. But because I was young when she stepped up to the plate to take care of my brother and I, I call her mom. To me, she really is my mom since she has raised me for the past 29 years. So when I get the chance to visit them I do. Just this past year they moved back to my neck of the woods. They use to live in Ontario, so I got to see very little of them. I found that tough and dad missed out on alot with the girls. For the first 4 years of Abigayle's life she never knew my parents. Dad was finding that very hard and was upset to know he was missing out on them growing up. So over all, we ALL are happy that they are back here. Can't wait for Dad to retire so we can spend more time together.

The girls and I got home early enough to finish up the Ghosts so they can take them to school tomorrow. They look cute with their little black eyes :)
This was such a simple little project to do and was fun to make. Here the girls are proudly showing off theirs for their Teachers...
Mike comes home tomorrow!!! I can't wait! I pick him up from the airport tomorrow at 3:30pm. He is very anxious to get home and to see the girls. I am sure he will be full of stories. Can't wait to hear them. He had to go out and purchase another suitcase because of all the gifts he received from all of his new found friends. They all went there with gifts for eachother so I guess they add up when you are getting a gift from each and every person that he chatted with on the forum. Last night he told me it was just like Christmas for him. I am all excited just talking about going to get him :)

Just before I sign off for today's post...I just wanted to let you all know that I am fast approaching my 100th post. Stay tuned to see what I will be doing...

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend for Monday will be here tomorrow.

your girls are lovely and lucky to get to 'do' halloween over there. We dont really have haloween over here and when I was teaching we werent even allowed to mention it in the classroom, which was a great pity as I would have done some great diplays for the kids! enjoy your Haloween!
